probably best you can give us an idea on what sort of riding you want to do, what your experience is like and budget. There is LOTS to choose from even from just 3 manufacturers.

I know how feel i had the same trouble when i brought my bike. I tossed up between the Yamaha and a Ktm. in the end i went for the Ktm, they are a litte more costly to maintain but they are very reliable and you have got the whole package straight put of the box. aAlso if you can afford it buy new. I can strongly recommend the Ktm and have other mates who swear by them and they have been riding for years. Hope this helps you make a decision.

Maintenance is more frequent. I change the oil about every 400km and have a service done on the bike every 500km and also have the valves adjusted at the same time so it does work out to be a bit more costly. But at the end of the day the bike has not missed a beat. By the way its a 250 exc-f 09 model.
